SINGING. ABC of Ukrainian singing part. 2
led by Mariana Markhel
for all interested
During the workshop, we will focus on the „white voice” singing technique, mostly using the examples of polyphonic songs from the Ukrainian Polesia, and the Poltava and Sumy districts. We will also practice the extremely important technique of singing ornamentation.
The first of the two workshops (on Wednesday, April 17) is designed for beginners. Apart from learning the songs, it will include a lot of singing exercises.
During the second workshop (on Thursdays, April 18) we will focus on learning polyphonic songs and developing the skill of stylistic ornamentation.
