DANCE Warm-up
Led by Grzegorz Ajdacki; Wiesława Gromadzka and Katarzyna Zedel playing
For all interested.
When someone wants to learn how to dance, they need specific competences that will allow them to join a dance party. They include understanding what the band is playing and in what rhythm, learning and practicing the skill of swirling, knowing and putting into practice the rules of cultural dance behavior. This is what we will be focusing on (that is dancing!). The workshops will be devoted to three basic dances from the vicinity of Przysucha, Radom region – obers, polkas, and foxtrots.
We recommend – bring enough water to drink, an extra shirt, and comfortable shoes, flat or with a small heel. They should have a slight slip, like most elegant shoes do.
Grzegorz Ajdacki promotes traditional dances and regional games for children, youth and adults. He runs classes, events and dance projects across Poland and abroad. He also educates himself, travelling the country and learning from village dancers.
