For beginners and beyond

During the workshops, we will learn the basic steps and rules of the non-stage forms of traditional dance, so that dancing could bring you as much joy and pleasure as possible. We will learn to dance and spin in twos IN CIRCLES, both in the dances with odd meter (mazurka rhythms), and in even meter (polka rhythms).

Mastering the steps and dancing rules will help you enjoy dancing at city and rural dance parties, all while preserving the characteristic features of the style and performative mannerisms.

Our workshop will help you push through your fear and the trauma of dancing in general and, very importantly, of dancing with other people in twos or groups. The workshop will heighten your sense of rhythm, as well as the lightness and flow of your dancing.
