Joanna Szaflik
Born 1984 in Sieradz. Currently residing in Poznań, she is interested in music of Greater Poland and her homeland, Sieradz region. Starting in 2014, she has been studying the rich musical archives of the Kalisz Local Museum. Since then, she has focused on traditions of two neighboring micro-regions of Kalisz and Sieradz. The archival recordings from Kalisz allowed her to discover the repertoire and fascinating characters of talented singers, who unfortunately are gone now. Her reconstruction work is focused on some remarkable vocalists: Anna Bukwa, Eleonora Bogacz, Stanisława Felińska, Stanisława Ogrodowicz and Maria Krawiec.
