Kapela Fedaków
The band was formed in 2015 in Katowice, the band members’ hometown. They very often play in Śląsk for the local audience, among which they cultivate traditional music and dances from their region. The band members are also committed to bringing the folk music to wider audiences, by performing in other venues in Poland and abroad, among others – in Prague and Budapest. They organize workshops, dance events and various creative activities, always inviting local communities and their workshops’ participants.
From 2015, Kapela Fedaków has been leading the Traditional Music and Dance Learning Group (ognisko muzyczne) in Katowice, from 2023 with the support from NIMiT.
