Taras Kompaniczenko
Kobza and hurdy gurdy player, art historian and musicologist, honoured with the title of Ukraine’s Esteemed Artist, founder of Chorea Kozatska. He reconstructs early music of Ruthenia – Ukraine from the Middle Ages through Renaissance and Baroque. He draws inspiration from manuscripts and old prints, and calls his concerts a musical journey across the lands of ancestors.
